What is a CSA?

 

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It’s a system that connects the customer directly to a farmer/producer by providing a weekly share of the farm’s crop to a customer for a fixed fee. By purchasing a CSA share you are both supporting a local business and having the privilege of knowing exactly where your food comes from. Not to mention you save about 10% on average on what you would pay for the same produce at market or a store.

 

How does your Mushroom CSA work?

 

Our CSA operates on a 12 week cycle and will be available year round through different cycles. We offer a Full share which is the equivalent of 1 pound of mushroom weekly for the mushroom fanatic or a half share which is about 1 quart or 8-10 ounces per week for people who feel too much mushrooms is overwhelming.  Each share will offer a variety of the mushrooms we grow. There will be at least two types of mushrooms in each share from the varieties of Oyster, Shiitake, Lion's Mane, Chestnut and Black Pearl King. If there is a type of mushroom you do not like just let us know and we will make a note not to include that in your mix. You will pick a day of the week that works for you and pick up your mushroom share each week during a specific time window. If you need to skip a week we can double up another week or extend your share one week later. Pricing

Full Share - $138

(A weekly share of about 1 pound of mushrooms of mixed variety for 12 weeks)

 

Half Share - $90

(1 quart of mushrooms which is approximately 8-10 ounces of mushrooms every week)

• Thursday - Rocky Mountain Outfitters (135 S main St., Kalispell) 3-6 pm

• Any day at the farm
